Spacewalk - A Tribute To Ace Frehley (1996) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Produced, Engineered and Mixed by Billy Sherwood except: "Rip It Out" and "New York Groove" Engineered by Bruce Bouillet, "Fractured Mirror" Produced by Dimebag Darrel and Vinnie Paul, Engineered by Vinnie Paul "Take Me To The City" Produced by Ace Frehley, Mixed by Dave Wittman, Engineered by Ian Bryan. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spacewalk is the second album in the "Triage Guitar Trilogy" collection where homage is paid to guitar artists that deserve special recognition for their often overlooked and ongoing contribution to contemporary music. In that spirit, ACE FREHLEY was an easy selection for the "Trilogy". While a member of KISS, Ace was often overlooked as a top flight guitarist because of the band's huge commercial success (and particularly Ace's) incredible showmanship and style. After leaving KISS, Ace was able to stretch out and enjoy the personal satisfaction and individual success of FREHLEY'S COMET and other solo endeavors that now allow him the individual vehicle for his creative expression. The artists that make up "SPACEWALK" are unabashed Ace Frehley fans. Their songs were selected from albums or concerts, where Ace's guitar playing, writing or singing left a footprint in their memory and became a part of their makeup forever. And with all due respect to the terrific years that KISS has enjoyed since Ace's departure to us Ace will always be THE guitar player from KISS. He will always be the spaceman with the smoking Les Paul who continues to leave his bootprints in the moonscape of rock. Enjoy!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Track Listing 1) Deuce (Gene Simmons) 3:49 2) Shock Me (Frehley) 3:25 3) Rip It Out (Frehley, Larry Kelly, Sue Kelly) 3:49 4) Hard Luck Woman (Paul Stanley) 3:13 5) Snowblind (Frehley) 4:03 6) Rock Bottom (Intro - Frehley; Song - Stanley) 3:09 7) Parasite (Frehley) 3:18 8) Cold Gin (Frehley) 4:12 9) New York Groove (Russ Ballard) 4:54 10) Fractured Mirror (Frehley) 6:35 11) Take Me To The City (Frehley) 3:37 - New studio track, Japanese bonus track 12) Save Your Love (Frehley) 5:19 - Japanese bonus track --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Deuce (Gene Simmons) 3:49 (Tom Gattis - Lead Vocals; Marty Friedman - Lead Guitar; Bruce Bouillet - Rhythm Guitar; John Aldrete - Bass; Scott Travis - Drums) Get up And get your grandma outta here Pick up Old Jim is workin' hard this year And baby Do the things he says to do Baby if you're feeling good And baby if you're feeling nice You know your man is workin' hard He's worth a deuce Honey Don't put your man behind his years And baby Stop cryin' all your tears Baby Do the things he says to do Do it Baby if you're feeling good And baby if you're feeling nice You know your man is workin' hard He's worth a deuce And baby if you're feeling good Yes baby if you're feeling nice You know your man is workin' hard Yeah --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) Shock Me (Frehley) 3:25 (Gilby Clarke - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitars; Bruce Bouillet - Rhythm Guitars; John Aldrete - Bass; Scott Travis - Drums) Your lightnin's all I need My satisfaction grows You make me feel at ease You even make me glow Don't cut the power on me I'm feelin' low, so get me high Shock me, make me feel better Shock me, put on your black leather Shock me, we can come together And baby, if you do what you've been told My insulation's gone, girl you make me overload Don't pull the plug on me, no, no Keep it in and keep me high Shock me, make me feel better Shock me, put on your black leather Shock me, we can come together Come on Shock me, baby, shock me, oh yeah Come on and shock me, put on your black leather Baby, I'm down to the bare wire Shock me, we can come together Oh yeah, I wanna feel your power.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) Rip It Out (Frehley, Larry Kelly, Sue Kelly) 3:49 (Scott Ian, Zach Throne - Lead Vocals, Guitars; Frank Bello - Bass; Charlie Benante - Drums) Now I know, you've been cheatin' and lyin' all the time I didn't know you were gonna be so unkind I've been trying just to find out how we went wrong But I know that I can't trust you girl anymore Chorus: Rip it out, take my heart You wanted it from the start You got it now, so goodbye So rip it out, watch me cry It's so sad, I'm not glad to be with you today And it's bad, 'cos I can't stop thye pain day by day If I knew how to stop you, I don't think I'd try I think it's better if we just part and don't say goodbye Chorus I hope you suffer!
